Project Description
We drew the first complete set of home plans for the McMillan residence early in our career back in 2003. A co-worker noticed drawings for another project that we had been working on and asked if we would be interested in drawing them a set of plans for their builder to work from. The builder contacted us and discussed exactly what they needed, without any fluff sheets (typical detail sheets generated from design firms that make the set seem bigger than it really is to try to compensate their billing). We agreed to generate the required drawings for them, and it was not long before the structure was complete.
The images shown for the McMillan residence are extremely simplistic in nature, but they served as the starting point for drawings of structures to come. Becoming a professional at a single given trade does not happen immediately; it requires countless hours spent perfecting the craft. Being a drafter is no different; initial projects are extremely basic, and later projects become fine-tuned and mastered.
